PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming method capable of: preventing generation of wasted paper at color correction of a for-product image, and reduction in productivity; and maintaining output of the for-product image in normal colors.SOLUTION: An image forming method comprises the steps of: (a1) forming, on the same paper sheet, a for-product image to which a for-product LUT is applied for color correction, and a verification image to which a verification LUT, yet to be applied to the for-product image for the color correction, is applied for the color correction; (b1) performing colorimetry of the verification image on the paper sheet; (c1) determining whether or not the verification LUT is applicable to the color correction of the for-product image on the basis of a difference between the measured colorimetric value and a target value; and (d1) forming the for-product image and the verification image, each color-corrected, on the same paper sheet by applying the verification LUT, being determined to be applicable at the step (c1), to the color correction of the for-product image as a new for-product LUT, and applying another verification LUT to the color correction of the verification image.
