PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a tool for checking a diameter of an elevator rope, configured to notify a worker who checks a rope about a shapeless condition more reliably.;SOLUTION: A tool for checking a diameter of an elevator rope includes: a turning shaft 91 provided along a rope 4; a first contact member 7 extended in a radial direction of the turning shaft 91; a second contact member 8 extended in the radial direction of the turning shaft 91, turning around the turning shaft 91, and holding the rope 4 together with the first contact member 7; a plate spring 11 for biasing the first and second contact members 7, 8 in a direction in which the first and second contact members 7, 8 hold the rope 4; and a scale member 10 for measuring the diameter of the rope 4 when the first and second contact members 7, 8 hold the rope 4, on the basis of a distance between a first measurement part 72 of the first contact member 7 and a second measurement part 82 of the second contact member 8 adjacent to the first measurement part 72 in a peripheral direction of the turning shaft 91.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2014,JPO&INPIT
