A focal plane array is provided which includes an array of photodetectors, each photodetector being in electrical communication with a corresponding one of an electrode of an output integrated circuit. The photodetector array includes an insulating layer, a blocking layer including at least one blind via hole, and an active layer formed between the insulating layer and the blocking layer. A first portion of the blocking layer transmits radiation having a first wavelength and reflects radiation having a second wavelength which is less than the first wavelength.
