Method to analyze and diagnose process automation control systems on a large scale, the present invention relates to a method for examining and diagnosing a system of automation control of the process on a large scale which has a plurality of loop control.Assessments for key performance indicators (KPIs) are automatically generated for the predefined sections of signal process and control of each control loop. The automatically generated default assessments of KPIs can be displayed in a graphical user interface (GUI) of a computer. A user can change the automatically generated default assessments of KPIs.Views of different data can also be displayed on the GUI. The views of the data include trends of time series to process variable measurement, output controller, fixed point of the controller and error, as seen in the group of controller parameter in two-dimensional and three-dimensional plots.
