1,2,4,5-tetraoxanes, formulations and their use as herbicides. The present patent application describes tetraoxanes which have herbicidal activity on weeds such as brachiaria brizantha (brachiaria), sorghum arundinaceum (fake-massambará), bidens pilosa (black prick), and euphorbia heterophylla (dairy) and other mono and dicotyledonous species. Formulations comprising the described tetraoxanes may be made for preemergence application. Accordingly, the present invention describes agrochemicals which may be employed as herbicides.
