Method for protecting the inner liner of tire using a termoformu00e1vel film coated with a pressure sensitive adhesive. The invention provides a method to protect a surface 28 of a virgin internal coating 16 tire against contamination by a release agent during the cure.A film termoformu00e1vel 18 coated with pressure-sensitive adhesive (PSA) is pressed on a surface exposed virgin 28 an internal coating of green tire 16, to join the PSA 22 to virgin surface 28, and thus form an internal coating green protected 16. The PSA is based on a rubber that is compatible with the rubber inner liner 16 of the tyre.The inner liner 16 is then exposed to green protected release agent, and cured. In view of the PSA 22, the film 20 remains reliably in position. The film termoformu00e1vel 20 is then removed to uncover the surface virgin cured 28 substantially free from the release agent.
