The present invention relates to compositions comprising N-acetyl-L-cysteine and concentrated peptidases, obtained by means of controlled biofermentation of maltodextrins by the micro-organisms Serratia marcescens, Serratia E15 and Aspergillus melleus , which are useful in the treatment of symptoms typical of inflammations of the upper and lower airways, including inflammations of infectious or allergic origin.
