The present disclosure provides a modified microorganism having altered (increased/decreased) protein synthesis. The present disclosure also relates to a process for manufacturing a modified microorganism with increased/decreased protein synthesis. The amounts of cellular tRNA molecules are altered by up-regulating/down-regulating gene expression to obtain more/less copies of the initiator tRNA molecules.
