LCA - Tejas Aircraft is made up of few CFC components. The CFC components are to be fastened with Plates, Doublers, Adapters etc. wherever cutouts are provided for various accessibility purposes. Hence Drilling of CFC components with Pla tes, Doublers, Adapters are to be carried out. These components are made up of number of CFC layers. While drilling of CFC components it is possibility that, chances of delamination which will lead to rework on same components or rejection of component. He nce drilling on CFC components need to be taken by providing proper support or drill templates. Wing Top Skin of LCA Tejas Aircraft is taken as example and drill templates are made available to drill holes with Plates, Doublers and Adapters. The same inven tion has been developed to avoid delamination on CFC components.
