摘要

Nano platinum doped nano porous activated carbon (NPAC) is developed using pretreated nano porous activated carbon as the precursor. Nano Platinum doped NPAC catalyst has high capacity to generate hydroxyl radical in presence of oxygen for the destruction of cyanotoxins in aqueous solution at neutral (pH) conditions. This new technique can be applied for the treatment of toxin contaminated water/wastewater without consumption of chemicals /ultra violet light / ozone at ambient conditions. The new process does not generate sludge during the destruction of cyanotoxin from water/wastewater.
