ISOLATION OF AN ACTIVE PRINCIPLE FROM MORINGA OLEIFERA

摘要

Angiotensin Converting Enzyme (ACE) inhibitor was isolated from cow milk yoghurt using Lactobacillus ferrmentum LAB4 and Lactobacillus paracasei LAB6 for controlling blood pressure. The ACE inhibitor was purified by using Sephadex G-75 column and reverses-phase fast-protein liquid chromatography (RP-FPLC). The molecular mass of purified ACE inhibitor was analyzed by matrix-assisted laser desorption/ionization time-of-flight mass spectrometry (MALDI-TOF-MS). The present invention is to provide that the angiotensin converting enzyme inhibitor isolated from the cow milk yoghurt has not only had antihypertensive activity but also nourishing function of accelerating growth of the rat model.
