A system and method for generating a local group and enhancing a personal importance over a social networking platform is disclosed. The method comprises registering a user over the social networking platform comprising a personal information and a professional information of the user. During registration the user selects a registered mobile number updates a timeline of the user and uploads a plurality of status updates images audio files video blogs and weblinks on the timeline. A number for likes and dislikes over a registered user s blogs images and weblinks is generated along with allocation of a positive credit for each like and a negative credit for each dislike over the registered user s blogs images and weblinks and display of a highest credited user details over a homepage of a local group page and a global group of the social networking platform.
