A METHOD FOR MEASURING ETHANOL CONCENTRATION IN ETHANOL-WATER BINARY MIXTURE

This is an alternative quick and cost effective method for measurement of ethanol concentration present in ethanol-water binary liquid system. This method is based on the relation of axial diffusion rate of the prescribed liquid indicator dye in ethanol-water binary liquid system placed in a transparent glass tube. The calculated ethanol concentration agrees with known ethanol concentration as tested.
