ELECTRIC STEAM HEATED LUNCH CARRIER FOR INDIAN FOOD

Abstract In this patent we invented an electrically steam heated lunch box having five detachable compartments, which is very unique in design. The system was implemented in a conventional lunch carrier popularly used in India. The base is made of induction coil over which water compartment is placed to generate steam. The steam is transported from the second compartment to the fourth compartment by using a detachable copper tube fitted outside. Food items in the third and fifth compartment are heated by the heat generated in the 2nd and 4th compartments respectively. The induction coil is provided with a standard AC power supply. All the five compartments are downwardly openable and are fixed with external legs closed at the top. This is an electrically safe product owing to fact that it operates with induction coil, which heats the food within 8-10 mins. Since this product is not using any plastic products, it is very safe and hygienic. Unlike microwave oven, steam heating will not alter the traditional taste of the food and it also provides the flexibility to carry and heat the food wherever the power is available.
