The present invention describes a method of direct control of the pair of an induction motor using a multilevel converter, the developed method being general and may be applied to any current multilevel topology. This method proposes the following improvements: 1) modification of the eT by means of adding an additional working zone using 4 levels, with the purpose of achieving the suitable sequence of the tension levels; and 2) modification of the number of sectors by means of adding more sectors as the levels are increasing, passing from 6 sectors in 2 levels to 24 sectors in the case of 5 levels, 3) the use of additional tables for handling the different tension levels according to the mechanical speed of the rotor and the demanded pair, and 4) an operation sequence for the reversion of the spin direction of the machine.
