isolation and characterization of a new strain of bacillus thuringiensis, active against lepidopteran insects

the present invention relates to a new strain of bacillus thuringiensis, named blb459 strains belonging to the bank and the team of biopesticides. this strain produces a wide variety of biologically active molecules, can be divided into 2 categories: o endotoxins and vegetative insecticidal proteins vips "toxins".these molecules are studied and characterized in the laboratory on the microbiological, biochemical, molecular, and insecticidal activity. the type of blb459 bioinsecticides vip3 were new. this was demonstrated by sequencing of the gene vip3 459, which revealed differences in gene sequences with the published. this strain of b.thuringiensis showed insecticidal activity against lepidopteran ephestia kuehniel / (moth agrotis segetum and flour), spodoptora littoralis (polyphagous insects).
