METHOD FOR PREOPERATIVE PLANNING OF PERFORATING FLAPS

The method for preoperative planning of perforating flaps provides for infrared thermography of the flap area followed by cooling the examined skin area to 20-22 °C within 5 minutes. The series of thermogram is recorded visualizing the exit sites of the perforating vessels. The intervascular connections between perforasomes are assessed. In addition, the images made in the setting of local hypo- and hyperthermia between the perforants allows for estimating the area of safety flap generation connecting at least two perforasomes.
