This utility model relates to herbal feed additive for boiler diets comprising extracts from herbal plants selected from moringa., milk weed, jatropha and mayana . The herbal feed additive for broilers comprises a mixture of 0.46-0.92 kg extract of milk weed per 100 kg of feeds or 0.46-0.92 kg extract of mayana per 100 kg of feeds. It can also be mixed with 0.23-0.46 kg extract of moringa per 100 kg of feeds or 0.23-0.46 kg extract of jatropha per 100 kg of feeds. The boiler feed is fed to boiler chickens for 42 days which gives a feed conversion efficiency of broilers is 2.08 g/liveweight gain. This results in relatively better quality broiler meat. Furthermore, the herbal boiler feed is cost effective and an affordable source of feed additive but profitable one compared to synthetic antimicrobials which are expensive resource for the health management of chickens.
