An assembly (1) of drive shaft for a heavy industrial vehicle, said unit comprising: - a support structure comprising a central body (5); - a first stub axle (10 ') and a second axle shaft (10') aligned along a direction (101) cross; - an assembly (6) housed in said differential central body (5) and comprising: at least one first axis (9 ') driven and at least one second axis (9' ') driven; a first gear (13 ') integral with said first lateral shaft (9') and a second driven gear (13 '') integral with said second lateral shaft (9 '') driven; a first gear (6 ') planetarium and a second gear (6' ') planetary both being grooved with a central pin (12) integral with said wheel (8) hypoid, each of said gears (6', ß ' ) planetary meshing with each of said gears (13 ', 13 ") side, a wheel (8) hypoid coaxial with said axle shafts (10', 10 '') and a pinion (7) meshing with said wheel (8) hypoid, said pinion (7) which is operatively connected to a motor of said industrial vehicle, said gear (8) hypoid and said pinion (7) defining a first reduction stage of said assembly (1) axis propulsion, and further comprising: - a second reduction step defined by a first gear (20 ') of reduced positioned between said first axis (9') driven and said first axle shaft (10 ') and a second gear (20 '') reduction positioned between said second axis (9 '') and said second driven axle shaft (10 ''), said gears (20, 20 '') reduction being suitable to take a first operating condition wherein the speed of the axle shaft (10 ', 10') concerned is less than the speed of the corresponding axis (9 ', 9' ') driven in accordance with a gear ratio predetermined reduction and a second operating condition wherein the speed of the axle shaft (10 ', 10' ') corresponding equals the axis (9', 9 '') corresponding driven; - the switching means of the operating condition of said gears (20 ', 20' ') reduction in order to change the operating condition of said gears (20', 20 '') of reduced from said first condition operating said second operating condition and vice versa, and wherein said first reduction stage is always active, while said second stage can be activated according to the operating conditions of the vehicle, characterized in that said hypoid wheel comprises a part (8 ') coaxial cylindrical with the axis (101) of said assembly (1) of the drive shaft, said assembly (1) of the drive shaft comprising first means (18) of bearing holder supporting said wheel (8) hypoid said first means occupies a position between said assembly (6) and said first differential gear (20) reduction, said position of said first means (18) being evaluated to l argo said direction (101) transverse.
