Use of a composition comprising a fixed combination of a) formoterol, a pharmaceutically acceptable salt or solvate thereof or a solvate of said sa and b) beclomethasone dipropionate; for the manufacture of a medicament administered by inhalation by means of a dry powder inhaler, formulated in the form of a dry powder composition comprising one or more suitable diluents or vehicles, or by means of a pressurized metered dose inhaler, in which both active ingredients (a) and (b) are completely dissolved in a liquid propellant mixture, for use in the treatment of acute asthma attack episodes, if necessary, as a complement to the maintenance treatment of asthma with the same medication.
