Method of preparing a completely solid Li-ion battery with a monolithic body comprising at least one layer of a negative electrode composite material, at least one layer of a positive electrode composite material, said layers being separated from each other by at least one intermediate layer of a solid electrolyte, said process comprising the following steps: - the preparation of a powdery mixture (MP1) comprising at least one powder of negative electrode active material, at least one powder of a solid electrolyte, and at least one agent that generates an electronic conductivity: - the preparation of a powdery mixture (MP2) comprising at least one powder of lithium-based positive electrode active material, at least one solid electrolyte powder, and at least one agent that generates an electronic conductivity; and being characterized in that: - the assembly of the battery is carried out in a single stage by superimposing at least one layer of the mixture MP1 and at least one layer of the mixture MP2, said layers being separated from each other by at least one intermediate layer of a solid electrolyte in powder form, and simultaneous sintering of the three layers at a pressure of at least 20 MPa, under pulsed current, - the solid electrolyte in powder form has a particle size less than or equal to 5 μm, - the solid electrolyte content in each of the mixtures MP1 and MP2 varies independently from 10 to 80% by mass, - the content of agent that generates an electronic conductivity in each of the mixtures MP1 and MP2 varies independently from 2 to 25 % by mass, and - the content of electrode active material in each of the mixtures MP1 and MP2 varies independently from 20 to 85% by mass.
