A method of isolating amniotic epithelial cells, comprising the steps of: treating human amniotic tissue from the placenta collected immediately after delivery with 5-50 mM dithiothreitol (DTT); treating DTT-treated human amniotic tissue with 0.025-0.125% trypsin, and isolating amniotic epithelial cells from amniotic tissue.
