A cardiotomy reservoir, comprising an outer wall provided, with connectors forthe inflow ofblood, at the bottom, with a connector for the outflow, a filtering mass beingprovided; thecardiotomy reservoir comprises a layer of material adapted to retain fats, andfurthercomprises a first partition and a second partition, which are adapted todelimit at differentdistances the region that comprises the blood outflow connector and areprovided with portsfor the passage of the blood in a path for accessing the connector which arearranged atdifferentiated levels with respect to the bottom, the ports that are providedin the firstpartition that lies closest to the outflow connector being located at aheight, from the bottom,that is greater than the height of the ports provided in the second partition.
