The invention relates to a paste resin AB which is a mixture of a water-reducible alkyd resins B and a basic acryliccopolymer resin A comprising at least one amino group-containing vinyl typemonomer A1, and a method of use thereof forformulating both water-borne and solvent-borne tinted paints with a widevariety of pigments.
