The present subject matter relates to a non-conjugated polymer comprising a pure oxygenic polymer with luminogenic properties, wherein the non-conjugated polymer exhibits fluorescence. The present subject matter further relates to clustering of carbonyl groups on one or more monomers providing a chromophore, which emits in a red light region. The present subject matter further relates to the non-conjugated polymer exhibiting solvent effects on absorption and emission. The present subject matter further relates to a method of amine detection comprising introducing the non-conjugated polymer to a sample and detecting amine presence in the sample by observing production of purple aggregates. The present subject matter further relates to a clusteroluminogen comprising a clustering of electron rich atoms to form a chromophore.
