PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a light emission property measuring device for a white LED manufacturing seal material and light emission property measuring method in which a proper management condition for manufacturing a white LED which emits light of a desired hue can be acquired.;SOLUTION: A light emission property measuring device includes a container holding section which holds a transparent container in which a liquid-state or paste-state white LED manufacturing seal material which is obtained by mixing a phosphor material in a transparent thermosetting resin is accommodated, an excitation light projecting section which projects excitation light which excites the phosphor material in the seal material toward the seal material, a light receiving section which detects fluorescent light caused by light emission of the phosphor material caused by the projection of excitation light from the excitation light projecting section to acquire a light emission intensity distribution of the light emission of the phosphor material, and a height position change mechanism which moves the container and one of the excitation light projecting section and the light receiving section in a height direction of the container relatively to the other in the state where a separation distance between the container and both the excitation light projecting section and the light receiving section is maintained constant.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT
