The invention relates to a system for attaching coating panels to vertical facings, by means of cylindrical metal casings (5) which are inserted into drill holes in the panels. Said metal casings (5) have an opening (8) via which a fastening screw (9) is inserted, attaching each one to the vertical profile (2). A sealing layer covers the drill holes of the coating panel (1). The invention also relates to a method for attaching coating panels to vertical facings, using said attaching system. Drill holes are made in the coating panels (1) and a metal casing (5) with an opening (8) is inserted into each one, in order to attach the coating panels (1) to vertical profiles (2) by means of fastening screws (9). The drill holes are then covered by means of a sealing layer.
