The present invention provides a method for predicting response to neoadjuvant chemoradiation therapy (CRT) in a patient prior to treatment for oesophageal cancer, comprising detecting the presence or the level of expression of a set of 10 miRNAs in a pre-treatment sample obtained from a patient, and correlating the expression signature of the ten miRNAs with a prediction of response or non-response to CRT in the patient from whom the sample was obtained.
