A zonal underground structure detection method based on sun illumination and shade compensation, which is used for performing compensation processing after a shade is detected, and can improve the identification rate of a zonal underground structure and reduce the false alarm rate. The method comprises the steps of: acquiring DEM terrain data of a specified region; acquiring an image shade position by using DEM, a sun height angle (b) and a sun azimuth angle (q); processing and compensating the shade region, and detecting a zonal underground structure after the shade region is corrected. The shade of the specified region is detected by using acquired DEM terrain data; processing and compensation operations are performed on the detected shade region, so as to reduce the influence of the shade region to the detection of the zonal underground structure; and finally, zonal underground structure detection is performed on a remote sensing image on which shade compensation has been performed. Compared with zonal underground structure detection of a remote sensing image on which shade compensation is not performed, the accuracy of the zonal underground structure detection is improved and the false alarm rate is reduced.
