[Problem] To provide: an organic thin film having high heat resistance; a photoelectric conversion element; an organic electroluminescent element; an optical member; an electronic device; and a method for producing an organic thin film. [Solution] An organic thin film which is formed by: vapor depositing a first compound that has a boron-chlorine bond or a boron-bromine bond and a second compound that has at least one phenolic hydroxyl group on a base; and having the first compound and the second compound chemically react with each other on the base.
