The present invention provides a method for developing a device driver architecture in an intelligent terminal, which makes development more flexible, makes it more convenient for updating a driver, is more compatible with various underlying devices, and makes it more convenient for maintaining devices. The method is mainly characterized in that a hardware device to be connected communicates with an SDK according to a protocol, and the SDK reads and writes performance parameters of the hardware device to be connected and controls operations of the hardware device; meanwhile, an underlying driver program adopts a transparent transmission mode; the SDK controls the hardware device to be connected by means of an open interface function of a dynamic link library file, opens/closes a hardware communication interface of the device, transmits and receives data, and controls the operation state of the hardware device via a control port; and the SDK encapsulates an operation flow of the hardware device to be connected, and provides an interface function for a user to call, so that the user can operate the hardware device to be connected without knowing the operation flow of the hardware device to be connected (such as an RFID device and a barcode recognizer).
