The present invention relates to predictive maintenance of a marine resource production equipment and, more particularly, to a device and a method for managing failure types for predictive maintenance of marine resource production equipment. The device for managing failure types for predictive maintenance of marine resource production equipment comprises: a multi-distribution control system (DCS), monitoring, and performance evaluation module (100) for developing a real time data management and monitoring system, and developing a performance evaluation system at the level of marine plant performance monitoring by constructing a multi-distribution control system for systematically collecting/managing maintenance data; a predictive maintenance platform (200) for mapping data from real time sensor data of the multi-distribution control system (DCS), monitoring, and performance evaluation module (100), storing the corresponding data, and managing a heuristic failure type according to normal type and failure type data; a diagnosis/prediction/maintenance/configuration management module (300) for developing a heuristic failure type management-based predictive maintenance reliability automatic improvement technology according to the data which are transmitted from the multi-distribution control system (DCS), monitoring, and performance evaluation module (100) to the predictive maintenance platform (200), developing a marine plant diagnosis, prediction, and maintenance system, and developing a diagnosis and predictive maintenance management platform and a configuration management system; and a virtual marine plant simulator (400) for constructing a virtual marine plant simulator, constructing a scenario-based management training system, and developing an input/output virtualization system for interoperation with a predictive maintenance solution and marine plant SCADA system.
