The purpose of the present invention is to identify a user carrying a gene having a novel function when the gene is discovered.A method for extracting a subject of a genetic research that is carried out with an information processing device equipped with an input unit, a processing unit, a storage unit and an output unit, for the purpose of extracting a subject user on which the search on a DNA database for a gene of interest among from multiple users. In the method, a group definition management table and an attribute relationship strength management table are used. The method comprises: an evaluation step of evaluating the degree of the relationship between the multiple extraction conditions and the gene of interest with reference to the attribute relationship strength management table; and an extraction step of selecting at least one extraction condition from the multiple extraction conditions on the basis of the evaluation results and then extracting a subject member list on the basis of the selected extraction condition.
