The purpose of the present invention is to identify a user carrying a gene having a novel function when the gene is discovered.A method for extracting a subject of a genetic research that is carried out with an information processing device equipped with an input unit, a processing unit, a storage unit and an output unit, for the purpose of extracting a subject user on which the search on a DNA database for a gene of interest among from multiple users. In the method, a group definition management table and an attribute relationship strength management table are used. The group definition management table defines multiple extraction conditions for extracting the user, wherein each of the multiple extraction conditions is correlated with at least one attribute of the user. The attribute relationship strength management table defines the strength of the relationship between the gene of interest and the attribute. The method comprises: an evaluation step of evaluating the degree of the relationship between the multiple extraction conditions and the gene of interest with reference to the attribute relationship strength management table; and an extraction step of selecting at least one extraction condition from the multiple extraction conditions on the basis of the evaluation results and then extracting a subject member list on the basis of the selected extraction condition.
