MULTI DOMAIN VERTICAL ALIGNMENT LIQUID CRYSTAL DISPLAY WITH HIGH TRANSMITTANCE AND WIDE VIEWING ANGLE

The present invention relates to a vertical arraying liquid crystal display device with a high transmittance and a wide viewing angle, which increases transmittance by using uniaxial films having different optical axes and phase delay values disposed between a vertically aligned liquid crystal layer and an upper polarizer, and a refractive index values depending on wavelength; and can remove light leakage regardless of the wavelength. In the vertically arrayed liquid crystal display device, a lower polarizer, a vertically arrayed liquid crystal layer, and an upper polarizer are provided, and optical axes of liquid crystals inside a liquid crystal cell are perpendicular to a substrate. In the vertically arrayed liquid crystal display device: a transmission axis of the lower polarizer is orthogonal to that of the upper polarizer; and a plurality of positive /4 A-plates and negative /4 A-plates for improving transmittance in a bright state, and a plurality of positive A-plates and negative A-plates for viewing angle compensation in a dark state are combined, and stacked between the lower and upper polarizers with the liquid crystal layer interposed therebetween.
