An apparatus for recovering an unmanned aerial vehicle and a method therefor are provided. According to one aspect of the present invention, the apparatus for recovering an unmanned aerial vehicle comprises: a main body having a storage space storing an unmanned aerial vehicle; a net expanded in an upper side of the main body to catch the unmanned aerial vehicle which is a target in the air; a plurality of small aerial vehicles transferring the net to the upper side of the main body and spaced from each other at constant intervals to expand the net; and a towing wire of which one end is connected to the net and the other end is connected to the main body to tow the unmanned aerial vehicle caught by the net toward the storage space.
