METHOD FOR MANUFACTURING NFC FOAM USING NANOFIBRILLATED CELLULOSE AND NFC FOAM THEREOF

The present invention relates to a nanofibrillated cellulose (NFC) foam preparing method using NFC, and NFC foam prepared by using the method. According to the present invention, the NFC foam preparing method includes the following steps: preparing a NFC suspension by using a pulp fiber suspension; and putting the NFC suspension into a mold frame, and drying the NFC suspension in the mold frame to prepare the porous NFC foam. The present invention can prepare the porous NFC foam by freezing and drying the NFC suspension which is an eco-friendly material. Also, a surfactant can be added to the NFC suspension to adjust the tension and form air bubbles, thereby changing the porosity of the NFC foam. Accordingly, the porous NFC foam can be used as various materials such as filters, shock absorbents, noise absorbents, and insulating materials.
