The present invention provides a synthesis method of a nanosized alpha-alumina with high dispersion and an insulating and highly heat-conductive alpha-alumina sol synthesized thereby. A synthesis method of alpha-alumina of the present invention is capable of synthesizing a nanoparticle with even and high dispersion which does not comprise a coarse particle, and representing insulation properties and excellent thermal properties, while being performed for a relatively short period of time at low temperatures of approximately 300C by using a solvothermal method. In addition, a diameter and a distribution of an alpha-alumina particle can be easily controlled by adjusting the kind of boehmite, and the diameter and the number of alumina seed.
