A device and a method for analyzing the rhythm of a streaming sound source are disclosed. The device for analyzing the rhythm of a streaming sound source comprises: a data input module which receives streaming data; a PCM data converting module which converts stream data into PCM data including time information and sound level information; a timing block analyzing module which divides the PCM data on the basis of a predetermined time, generates timing blocks, calculates the sum of sound levels of the timing blocks, and stores the sum as meta-data of the streaming data; a rhythm analyzing module which extracts a peak point on the basis of the sum of the sound levels of the timing blocks, and extracts a note corresponding to each of the timing blocks by using the peak point; and a rhythm data generating module which generates integrated rhythm data of the streaming data in accordance with the note corresponding to each of the timing blocks.
