portable near-field measurement system (1) is provided for mapping the radio frequency characteristics of the test object in a spherical shape. Such portable near-field measurement system (1) comprises an anechoic chamber 2, an annular rotary platter (21), a rotary platter (17), a fixed platform 46, and a frequency converter (29, 45). The anechoic chamber (2) is an enclosure with a fixed absorber material therein. The annular platter 21 is secured to the azimuth positioner 37 which is arranged horizontally in the anechoic chamber 2, an annular rotating platter 21 for rotating the bearing shaft (24). The rotary platter (17) is rotatable about the rising rotation shaft 25 disposed vertically within the anechoic chamber (2) is raised through the positioner (28).
