The present invention relates to a novel pepper dwarf endornavirus gene found in a pepper plant. More specifically, the present invention relates to a pepper dwarf endornavirus gene comprising a base sequence represented by sequence number 1, a recombinant vector comprising the pepper dwarf endornavirus gene, and a host cell transformed by the recombinant vector. According to the present invention, the gene of the present invention can contribute to distribution of disease-free host plants including pepper and also to quality improvement.
