摘要

The present invention relates to a carbon electrode manufacturing method, a carbon electrode manufactured through the same, and an energy storage device including a carbon electrode. The method includes the following steps: producing electrode slurry by inserting active carbon, a conductive material, and a binder into a dispersion solvent and mixing the same; applying the electrode slurry on a metal current collector; and freezing and drying the electrode slurry applied on the metal current collector. The freezing and drying step: freezes and dries the dispersion solvent of the slurry; and forms an air gap, in which an ion is charged and discharged, at a position where the dispersion solvent is frozen and dried. Through the method, the electrode slurry including the dispersion solvent is frozen and dried after applied on the metal current collector, so the air gap is formed at a position of the dispersion solvent. When an ion is charged into the electrode with the air gap and discharge from the electrode, a diffusion velocity is increased.
