The present invention relates to a differentiation method to cardiac muscle cells using PdgfR-α expressed cardiac progenitor cells, and to uses thereof. Effects in promoting the differentiation of cardiac muscle cells and effects in alleviating myocardial infarction are confirmed in the PdgfR-α expressed cardiac progenitor cells of the present invention. Target treatment can be performed by fundamental approach, regarding the treatment and the prevention of cardiovascular diseases. The differentiation method from stem cells to cardiac muscle cells comprises the following steps: (a) inducing the expression of PdgfR-α; (b) selecting the PdgfR-α expressed cardiac progenitor cells; (c) culturing the selected cardiac progenitor cells in a serum-free N2/B27 medium; and (d) measuring whether the cardiac muscle cell-specific gene is expressed in the cultured cells.;COPYRIGHT KIPO 2016
