PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide means for accurately detecting periodical motion of cardiac muscle cells from time-series images obtained in cell observation.;SOLUTION: An image processing method, an image processing program, and an image processing apparatus have a configuration of allowing a computer to realize: a step of obtaining time-series images of cardiac muscle cells which are captured every predetermined period of time; a step of extracting an area having motion from the obtained time-series images; a step of calculating morphological feature quantity of cells in a motion area from time-series images; a step of detecting periodical pulsation motion of the cardiac muscle cells based on time-series changes of the image feature quantity; and a step of detecting the center of the pulsation motion of the cardiac muscle cells.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2014,JPO&INPIT
