The present invention relates to a primer set for distinguishing between Korean ginseng and American ginseng. The primer set for distinguishing between Korean ginseng and American ginseng and a distinguishing method using a direct high resolution melting (HMR) analysis enable quick and accurate identification of varieties of Korean ginseng and American ginseng using a melting curve after specifically amplifying a single nucleotide polymorphism (SNP) present in Korean ginseng and American ginseng. In addition, the primer set and the method are a identification technology exhibiting high accuracy and reproducibility, thereby having effects of distinguishing authenticity of Korean ginseng and the degree of American ginseng mixed in Korean ginseng in a quick and accurate way.;COPYRIGHT KIPO 2016
