The present invention relates to a method for producing riboflavin in an organism in the genus Eremothecium which is genetically modified so as to increase activity of guanosine monophosphate synthetase, which includes a step of isolating rivoflavin from a culture medium after growing the organism in an adequate culture medium. In addition, the present invention also relates to a method for providing the organism by genetically modifying the organism which belongs to the genus Eremothecium and in which rivoflavin is accumulated.
