The present invention relates to a method for producing riboflavin in an organism which belongs to a genus Eremothecium and is genetically modified by replacing, with RIB7 promoter, an inherent promoter for at least one gene encoding a protein negatively affecting the riboflavin production. To this end, the method of the present invention include a step of culturing the organism in an adequate culture medium and then isolating riboflavin from the culture medium. The present invention further relates to a use of the genetically modified organism for increasing an accumulated amount of riboflavin as well as the genetically modified organism belonging to the genus Eremothecium.;COPYRIGHT KIPO 2016
