The present invention relates to a gelling agent containing an aqueous gelatin solution derived from waste biomass for treatment of marine oil spills, and a solidification treatment method of marine oil spills. According to embodiments of the present invention, the gelling agent containing a waste biomass-derived aqueous gelatin solution makes use of gelatin isolated from biowastes such as tallow, lard, fish skins, fish bones and jellyfish and therefore is inexpensive and safe for the environment and can rapidly solidify and remove oil spills without causing secondary pollution, and further can contribute to recycling of biomass wastes and collected oil spills.;COPYRIGHT KIPO 2016
