The present invention relates to a method for managing a resource of a cloud computing system, and more specifically, to a method for managing a resource of a cloud computing system capable of managing the resource of the cloud computing system in real-time by adding and deleting a new active server to an active server group based on state information of respective active servers forming the active server group in the cloud computing system and a generation request for a virtual machine from a client terminal, and saving a power consumed for operating the cloud computing system by controlling the number of the active server depending on the speed of the generation request for the virtual machine from the client terminal in the cloud computing system.
