NOVEL CLOSTRIDIUM PERFRINGENS BACTERIOPHAGE CLO-PEP-1 AND ITS USE FOR PREVENTING PROLIFERATION OF CLOSTRIDIUM PERFRINGENS

The present invention relates to Myoviridae bacteriophage Clo-PEP-1 (Accession number KCTC 12664BP) characterized in that it has a genome represented by sequence number 1 having an ability that is capable of specifically annihilating Clostridium perfringens bacteria, and a method for preventing and treating the infection of Clostridium perfringens bacteria using a composition comprising Myoviridae bacteriophage Clo-PEP-1 (Accession number KCTC 12664BP) as its active component. A method for preventing and treating the infection of Clostridium perfringens bacteria using a composition comprising bacteriophage Clo-PEP-1 as an active component according to the present invention is capable of providing a merit of a very high peculiarity with respect to Clostridium perfringens bacteria compared to a method based on chemical materials such as existing antibiotics and others. Further, the present invention is also capable of providing a merit that the present invention is very naturally friendly since the present invention uses the bacteriophage as an active component of the composition by separating bacteriophage that is already been existed in the natural world.
