The present invention relates to a prediction algorithm verifying system using a virtual environment and a method for the same, capable of verifying a prediction algorithm mounted on an energy management system. According to an aspect of the present invention, the prediction algorithm verifying system of the energy management system, using the virtual environment includes: a modeling device generating modeling data on a power generation facility installed in a target area based on target area and target time information for verifying multiple prediction algorithms used in the energy management system (EMS); a virtual environment calculating device generating virtual environment data on the power generation facility by applying meteorological administration data during the target time in the target area, 3D topography information on the target area, and the modeling data, to a preset virtual calculation algorithm; a monitoring device generating an algorithm execution result by each prediction algorithm by performing the multiple prediction algorithms; an analyzing device selecting an optical algorithm among the multiple prediction algorithms by comparing actual data to the algorithm execution result by each prediction algorithm; and a 3D viewer outputting a comparison result of the actual data, the execution result by each algorithm, the algorithm execution result, and the virtual environment data as a three-dimensional graphic.
